Shipped item not arriving
I sold an item and shipped through USPS and it has not arrived and shown as delivered. Tracking shows it was scanned to local post office on NOV 7th and out for delivery. It is still not delivered yet and the buyer asked if it was returned to me. It has not. As a seller what is my responsibility? I used e-bay shipping.

Has your buyer filed a not received refund request yet? If they have then it's best to refund. If the item does finally arrive and you shipped with an eBay label then eBay will refund you. This is a new seller protection that was announced at eBay OPEN.
Your other option is to file a lost package insurance claim AFTER you do the lost package search.
The buyer does not wait for insurance pays if any.
Insurance is for the seller, the buyer is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
