shipped before getting paid
A buyer made an offer and I accepted. Without thinking I shipped the item before it was paid for. So far buyer has not paid and I am in a panic. Do I have any recourse?

-You may be able to pay a fee for the carrier to intercept the package and return it to you
-You are at the mercy of the Buyer to pay even if they receive the item
-You can message the Buyer and simply let them know the item shipped prior to the payment being completed and would they kindly complete the payment ...
-Beyond the items above there is not much you can do ...

Mentor3 years agoNever ship until eBay marks the order as ready to ship. The first reason is you want to be paid (and there is no incentive for the buyer to pay if you send it for free), and the second reason is that you don't know where the buyer wants it shipped until he pays (he will select the ship-to address at checkout).

Mentor3 years agoAre you sure it wasn't paid? Some buyers/sellers are opted into a new program where, once an offer is accepted, the buyer's card is charged. Hopefully that was the case. Not sure how you would have gotten the address otherwise. Check to be sure.
Not sure what you would do if it wasn't paid. I don't see the buyer paying after the fact. You could recall the package, but that costs money. Maybe someone else will know what to do in that situation.

·3 years agoYour only recourse is to try to recall the shipment through your carrier. The recall fee may be more expensive than the item.
