Hi @pollywon there's nothing you need to do. What does the tracking show on the carrier's website? If it shows delivered on their website but not on eBay, then it's just a temporary delay in uploading data.
If the tracking doesn't say delivered on the carrier's website, but the buyer says it was delivered, then that means the carrier forgot to scan the package upon delivery. If the buyer claims to eBay they didn't receive the item, you won't be able to prove delivery and will have to refund. But sounds like your buyer is honest and no need to worry.
You don't need to worry about eBay giving you a transaction defect for late shipment, as long as the package was scanned within your handling time. If the tracking doesn't say delivered on the carrier's website, AND you also didn't ship out on time, then that would earn a defect.
I shipped an item that was delivered, buyer agrees but it doesn’t show delivered in system. What can I do?
Nothing. Only USPS can scan the item delivered.
There is nothing eBay, nor you, as the seller, can do.
I did, once (years ago), successfully call a buyer’s local PO and explain the item was delivered and that I needed the scan. The postmaster accommodated and manually marked the item delivered in the system.
