Ship by deadline help
Hellooooo!!
I recently listed a PRESALE item on eBay and clearly stated in the description that buyers should allow up to 20 days before I can ship the item. The reason for this is that I have not received the item yet, and therefore cannot ship it until it arrives.
The item has now sold, but eBay has given me a ship-by deadline of September 9, which is only about 6 days away. Unfortunately, I do not expect to receive the item by then, so I will not be able to ship it within eBay’s specified timeframe.
I want to avoid receiving a late-shipment defect or any other seller penalty, especially since the listing clearly disclosed the potential 20-day shipping timeframe.
I have also already contacted the buyer and explained the situation and the expected delay.
Could you please advise me on what I should do with this order so that I can fulfill it as promised without being penalized for late shipping?
