Shill bidding
I bid on an item from member crystal-lucky88 the other day and there were strange automatic bidding after my bid. All other bidder were listed as :private listing - bidders' identities protected. The time stamps were also strange, they were listed as BEFORE my bid, strange. I did not win the bid, some other private listing person did. This all occurred on Aug 12, 2023. I did some research just now and found the EXACT item listed by a different seller: crystal-yuanxitang. The listings pictures are EXACTLY the same. In addition I was outbid by the same process from member crystal-lucky88 the same day and again today I found the EXACT item listed now under member duoencrystal2019. Would someone please confirm what I believe is shill bidding and these members are gaming eBay and other bidders. Also, to whom should I email my suspicions to at eBay? Thank you in advance.

·3 years agoShill bidder don't bid to win. You also will show as a private bidder to everyone else. Just find a better seller and move on.
