Shady Seller
Placed a order for a item. Seller cancelled the sale, refunded my money and sent me a message that item was out of stock.
ok with that. Did a search for similar item. Found exact same item, same description,
same manufacturer part number from the same seller for $400 more in price. Asked seller on new listed item to make sure it was in stock. Seller replied yes we have item in stock. When I inquired about the previous listing and that it was reported out of stock seller went silent. Is this a violation of eBay policy?

Mentor2 years agoIt is a violation of eBay policy for the Seller to cancel for being out of stock and using the cancel reason as "at Buyer's request". If you did not ask the Seller to cancel the original order, you can report them for that. You can also leave this Seller the appropriate feedback.
As far as relisting it for a higher price, that is not a violation. It is a poor business practice and is a red flag not to purchase from that Seller.
