Sent to wrong person

Question

Sent pkg to the wrong person. How do I get a label with her name on so she can sent the pkg back to me? Then I can forward to the correct person.

First contact the person who received the package and explain the mistake. Most people will help if you politely ask and let them know you will cover the return shipping.

Send them a message apologizing for the mix-up and offer to send a prepaid return label so they don’t have to pay anything. You can buy a shipping label and send it to them through eBay messages as a JPG image, since PDF files cannot be sent in messages. They can print it, place it over the old label, and drop the package off with the carrier.

If the shipment was connected to an order you sent to them, you can also find their contact information by going to your orders and selecting View order details, then View contact information:

Hopefully the person will be honest and send the item back. If they don’t respond or refuse, there really isn’t much eBay can do since it was a shipping mistake. In that case the buyer who should have received the item will need to be refunded.
