Sent item before receiving payment.
Of course the one time I send an item too early the buyer turns out to be a deadbeat. No replies to my invoice or messages and doesn't return the $100 item.
eBay says to continue waiting for the buyer to pay or return the item but it's been 3 weeks and I'm not hopeful.
Is there any recourse for me or am I out of luck ?

I'm sorry you have a dishonest buyer.
I can remember a time if a buyer said the check was on the way I went ahead and shipped it if their feedback was good. And I never got a bounced check. This was before BillPoint and PayPal. The good old days went out in a blaze.
