Hi everyone!! Can someone please tell me if I am allowed to NOT print a shipping label and hand write the payers address on the package? Also if I do this am I allowed to pay for the postage at the post office on my own and then connect with the buyer to personally give them a tracking number? Lastly how would this affect my payments. I have looked everywhere for this information and sadly, I am unable to answer these questions on my own. Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Mentor2 years agoIf you do not have a printer, you can certainly hand write the buyer's name and address on the package and pay for postage at the post office. You will be paying the retail rate instead of the commercial rate that ebay charges. Make sure you get a receipt at the post office, and then enter that tracking number into the sold transaction on ebay within your handling time.
If you have a smart phone, you can go to the sold transaction, enter all the details of the sale (method of shipping/weight of the package/dimensions of the package) and then scroll down to the bottom and select the QR-code option to be sent to your email. You show that QR-code to the post office clerk, and s/he can print out the shipping label (so you are paying the commercial rate). At the same time, you can select to have that postage taken from your funds or from your Paypal account.

Yes, you are allowed to use your own method of shipping as long as you upload the tracking number into the order details.
The buyer will then get an email with the order tracking details.
