Sending an invoice after a refund

Question

I sold and shipped an item and the buyer decided that he wanted a refund. I refunded his purchase and provided information for a return and the buyer had a change of mind and asked to buy and keep the item. He requested that I send him an invoice after the refund. How? It seems to me that I have to create a new listing and somehow send an invoice then to include the original shipping and taxes and ebay fees? need some guidance.

You could ask for his email address and then send a PayPal invoice, if you have a PayPal account. eBay considers the transaction closed, so this OK.

Or you can create a listing called repay refund - list it as a service so there is no physical shipping. Then have the buyer purchase and pay for it.

This is why you never refund until the item is returned.
