selling vintage items that may connect to government
Just had a new listing cancelled by ebay. It was a key like many other ones being sold as we speak. I researched everywhere and found nothing to indicate is was government related in any way. They said the railroad contacted them about items being sold that were used in or on the railroad that may still be in use. I had a key that said W. Bohannan Brooklyn NY Pat June 29, 18??. Ebay cancelled my listing but there are several of the same items being listed by others and are active. Is there anyone that can help me with a resource that I ay not have to find out before this happens again. I have hundreds of keys that I planned to sell and have found no information to suggest they violate ebay policy or they are connected to current government uses.

Mentor2 years agoW. Bohannan Brooklyn NY in addition to many other type locks did indeed make railroad locks and keys to those specific type locks can not be sold on ebay. Is there any more information shown on the key to identify it?
