eBay makes it easy to get signed up to sell as you have learned. However, they fail to advise you that in order to get paid you need to provide a checking account and your SSN in order to get paid by eBay: Getting paid for items you've sold | eBay
There is no way around those requirements and the name on your eBay account has to match the name on your checking account.
