selling to China
I have an item that is heavy, about 46pounds, and a guy from China wants to buy it. On his end, it shows I do not ship to China. Can that be fixed? It seems 44 pounds is the limit

Based on the weight that must be a ceramic model but you don't state the material in your listing????
If it were me I would only ship that domestically.
If the weight exceeds wither eBay's Internataional Shipping program or any other carrier limits then you can't ship it to China.
The Buyer has the option to contract a US based forwarding company so they can buy in the US. Sellers would only be responsible to the US address to ship to and on any returns that occur. It would be the Buyer's cost to get the item to their country and back again in the unlikely event of a return.

OP11 months agoThanks, I told him to use a forwarding service, so he is looking into that. But from what I can see, it would cost more than the ite,m so I am not sure he would do it.
I think domestic is the best option.

Mentor11 months agoDue to the EIS restrictions, I suggest you check into using USPS Priority International and ship directly to the buyer.

Mentor11 months agoWhat is the item number? If you are using the ebay International Shipping program, that has to be opt into when you created the listing. If the EIS program has a limit of 44 pounds, are you able to eliminate 2 pounds and still ship safely?
