Selling to a newly made account
Hello. I've just sold an item to a buyer who's account was made the same day. Is there any precautions I should take to keep from being potentially scammed, as I understand ebay sides with buyers in most situations

You might be seeing someone making a guest purchase. If I didn't sign in and bought as a guest, you'd see me as a new user 🙂
There is no fool-proof way to sell here. eBay will side with buyers when they claim not as described, so if your buyer reports a problem, accept the return. If they only message you, apologize for the issue and ask them to open a return request. Scammers don't like to leave a footprint. They also usually don't pay, so you're past the first hurdle.
All you can do is ship to the address provided at checkout - if they ask you to change it, cancel the transaction as problem with buyer's address and invite them to buy it again.
