Selling Men's Used Cologne
I have had a used men's cologne add removed from eBay's site. Prior to listing, I researched my product on eBay for legality, pricing and listing methods. I found NUMEROUS examples of used men's cologne being advertised and SOLD on eBay - as well as a FULL LIST of all cologne mfr's. on the site itself, ready to populate any new listing. Lastly, in my denial write-up, it said, "Prohibited: Used cosmetics and cosmetic applicators (such as sponges or pencils) that haven't been thoroughly cleaned prior to sale." OF COURSE I PROPERLY CLEANED THE COLOGNE BOTTLE & CAP! The photos I provided proved it!
AND, eBay's platform even sends ME offers from other seller's USED MEN'S COLONGES (by the same mfr.) sites. This means eBay is complicit in violating their own policy, right?
Please help me understand.

Mentor7 months agoThe applicator does not matter in this case. (this refers to applicators for cosmetic purposes)
You cannot sell used cologne.
I realize that you might find some used products, but they too are likely breaking policy unless they are collectible.
It's like speeding, not everyone gets caught.
