Selling marketing
Hi everyone,
I have listed 2 items for sell some time ago. More than a month actually. One item has 1 view, other has zero. Ieeed item is doc marten shoe, non viewed item is Birkenstock. They are not unknown brands. I found it difficult to believe nobody searches for them. eBay is trying to push me to get ad feature. Is anybody experiencing this issue?

Another factor might be the prevalence of the item. I did a search for Birkenstock and eBay returned 63,000+ hits. It's not hard to get lost in a crowd that large.

OP2 years agoThank you for your response. It is quite possible among 63000+ returns for the search, it might be missed.
I got suspicious after I got message from eBay about marketing while there was ‘no view’ on the products. I got message maybe because there was no view. Who knows!

Mentor2 years agoI would find a way to clean up the sandals. I think just saw something on that recently. It is quite possible no one wants to buy shoes with toe prints in them--plus it is 17 degrees here!

OP2 years agoThank you for your response. I have actually bought cleaning products for the Birkenstock specifically and cleaned them before posted the pics. Unless they are brand new, toe prints stay there. At least that’s how I know.
In Florida, we are in summer still😎

Mentor2 years agoeBay will always suggest that you spend more. If there are lots of similar items, it might be worth a few extra $, but I think you can usually do more to boost your visibility yourself.
Try reviewing sold listings to check your prices. If the item has been listed more than 30 days, end it, and use sell similar to start it up again. Check your price, description and title, stuff more keywords into your title.
On the sandals, I would add the sizes to the title, but still it might not be the best time of year to sell sandals, since half of the country is cold now 🙂
