Selling items that are getting lost by USPS

USPS has been losing items or running extremely late. I’ve had to issue refunds and file a claim with USPS. Am I going crazy as a new seller when I’m having to refund AND losing the item? Is this happening often?

@bigleaguecardcollector According to Ebay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, the buyer is entitled to a refund if they do not receive the item when the estimated date of delivery has passed.

You can file a claim with USPS if the insured package has been lost.
