Selling item was stolen before I could ship

Item was stolen from my vehicle (police report available) and Iâ€™m trying to refund the buyer and I get a â€œinput not recognizedâ€ or something like that when I initiate the refund via the chat bot. I canâ€™t seem to refund in the normal area as the shipping label has been printed.

You can void the label within 5 days of purchasing it from the actions drop down menu next to the label on this page>

Then the postal service will refund you in about 3-4 weeks on your all transactions page here>

And you should be able to select cancel order as out of stock from the drop down menu next to the sold item. This will refund the buyer> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/sellers-can-cancel-order?id=4136&st=1

Refunds, even for order cancellations, come out of your available funds not pending or held. If you do not have available funds then eBay charges your back up payment method for selling costs.

Have you entered your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs. I use a credit card.

Once you issue the refund and the buyers funds are released from being held or finish processing then the buyers payment is released to you.
