Selling - Internal Notes?
When creating a listing, is there a way to add internal notes that the buyer will not see? For example, if I have 3 of the same item I want to sell, I want to have an internal identifier to say this is item #1, item #2, item #3 etc. But don't need the buyer to see that as it would only cause confusion.

OPTION 1 >>>
You need to use the Advanced Listing Tool that is located in Seller Hub to add a Sku to the listing when you are creating it.
You can only access this listing tool on a computer.
Here's to access the Advanced Listing Tool:
Sign up for Seller Hub while working from your computer to create your listing using the new listing tool.
To access Seller Hub:
1. Go to https://www.ebay.com/sh/landing
2. Click Start Using Seller Hub
Click create listing on the upper right of the page.
In the Title field on the listing form, click See title options (small menu icon) located on the right-hand side of the field.
A pop-up overlay should open where you will be able to toggle the switch on for entering a Custom Label (SKU). The box for entering your SKU will then be available on the listing form, just below the Title box.

Seller Hub Active Listings Page:
1. Go here to your active listings page: https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active
2.. Click Customize table on the right-hand side above the listings table
3. Check the box to add the SKU field to your list of listings
4. Next, scroll down to your item, hover over the SKU area, and use the Pencil to edit the SKU field.
You can also ADD Notes after the item is listed by going to the active listing in Seller Hub on this page> https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active
Click the 3 dots and scroll down to add/ edit note.
( You must use Seller Hub on a computer for this feature)

MentorJul 13, 2026 at 2:42 PMI'm not sure about creating the listing, but I do know that after the listing is created, you can go to Seller Hub > Listings > Active
Locate the listing, click on the 3 dots and select Add/Edit Note.

OPJul 13, 2026 at 3:10 PMThank you for the response. When I look at my Active sellings, I only see a dropdown with several options. If I choose "Revise" I don't see any options for Notes. And I don't see "3 dots" that I can click on? Is it possible that Ebay has separate options based on what you are selling? (I am selling baseball cards)
