Selling Hold
I recently set up an account to buy stuff, have made a few purchases, and thought I'd give selling a go - just as an individual seller, not to open a business storefront. I went through the step-by-step process to list a baseball card and did everything to spec, so I thought, but upon posting, received the following message:
In order to keep eBay a safe and trustworthy environment, we regularly review marketplace activity. As part of our review, we've temporarily placed a selling hold on your account. This hold will prevent you from listing new items.
To remove the hold on your account, please contact a member of our customer service agents who will happy to assist. We appreciate your cooperation in confirming your information as soon as possible and welcome you as a valued member.
Any clues on what's up? I suspect it has to do with an unexplained restriction it put on me from making offers and bidding. I have participated in one bid (lost) and accepted an offer a seller made to me, and I have purchased a few items paying for them promptly, without issues. I have done nothing to warrant a restriction.
Does anyone know how to get a hold of a an actual customer service agent? The bot is well-meaning, but useless.
