First time seller here. I accepted an offer and am confused about fees. Let’s say the agreed upon price is $20 plus $10 shipping fee. My account is showing fees of $4.50 making my payment hold $25.50. My question is…if I print a shipping label does EBay subtract another $10 for shipping? Am I better off going to the post office and shipping it myself? Thanks for the info.
Also, I’m nervous about entering my bank account info. Is this a safe and secure site?

Mentor1 year agoThe buyer paid item price + shipping + sales tax. You get the item price + shipping less the final value fee. You can then pay for the shipping wherever you like. If you use ebay shipping, you get a discount since you are charged the commercial rate. You specify to pay for the shipping from the ebay payout or Paypal. If you pay at the post office, you will be paying the full retail rate. You pay out of pocket.
Payouts are sent to the checking account you specify. You do have to verify who you are (driver's license and SSN). I've had to do that twice since ebay started Managed Payments.
