Selling Expensive Trash or Empty Packaging

Should someone be denied a return by a seller who makes it a point to tell you that you failed to read her advertisement and that "next time read it better" because their are some persons who collect empty packaging from expensive skin care product lines such as Vine Vera? I had this occur and feel that it is not only highway rape or privacy violation and could possibly include robbery of someone as well as intellectual property violation. You feel like from one woman to another you have been stolen from, or otherwise because of an ability to know where you live - maybe only minutes or hours away.
If you have something mailed to you and the box is empty of any product - not just partially used - you do not know if they tried or bought the product and then sold off the elite or hardy packaging that a company tried to incorporate into their line. I have told a popular movie star acquaintance about this.
I totally feel exposed and she should be also. It is not like it is an antique or collectible glass spray perfume bottle or anything which might have even at a small town gift shop be picked up and found later to hold a value of 10-100 times the original cost. Instead it was mistake to have ordered or trusted. It takes a woman whom has a married or original surname of Hoover to do such a thing. She must not like herself very much. I AM NOT ONLY A DISAPPOINTED BUYER or DISGRUNTLED, I am Flabbergasted with such activity on Ebay (and had to blog in order to see other's opinions on this) along with a subsequent denial and slap on the hand or across the face sale of cosmetic skin cream CONTAINER.
Big insult to the younger or "other" woman in this instance because she is speaking to me as a Student of Sorts or worse than paid help. She must have been a former school teacher with a room full of RULER or Yard Stick chaotic-acting brats.
