Selling Expensive Item as New Ebay User
Summary: jabra6749 is a new eBay seller seeking advice on how to sell a high-value item, priced at $1800, which is brand new and unopened. They are facing issues with selling limits and are unsure how to contact eBay for approval to list such an item. They are hoping for guidance on how to proceed with the sale.
I'm brand new to ebay as a seller, any and all help is greatly appreciated!
I am building out a van and bought an item I'd rather replace with something else. Its pretty expensive ~1800$ and I'd like to sell it.
It's brand new and in a completely unopened box.
I've tried to list it and run into problems with selling limits, I do not have substantial other things to sell so I cannot build up credit in that fashion.
I haven't been able to find a resource on requesting/talking to a human about this and getting approval for my situation, maybe that doesn't exist.
Is there anyway I can get my item sold/or at least listed on Ebay?

I personally recommend that all sellers learn about eBay by selling items low-value items (such as things around their house, CDs, Books, clothing) and buying a few things on eBay. After you are comfortable with the whole process, then you can list more expensive things. Your limit will go up after you've sold a few low value items.
- One of the reasons to list smaller items is that people are more willing to pay a high price to someone familiar with eBay.
-- eBay has limits on the total value and number of items you are listing. This is to protect both buyer and seller.
-- Your limits will increase as you sell items successfully. You can see your personal selling limits, and you can request a limit increase here:
