Selling counterfeits under a brand name? No problem, says Ebay!
TWICE I reported a seller using a widely-known brand name , where the brand is also entered in the listing. But it is NOT the branded item they're selling. It's something they made themselves.
I have seen Ebay go after sellers with the ferocity of rabid dogs when they were WRONG, and now I report this very obvious violation and they tell me there's no violation of policy? They said it was decided by algorithm. Hey Ebay! YOUR ALGORITHM DOESN'T WORK!
I just had to contact the brand in the hope THEY will contact Ebay and get the listing removed or changed. Why is this my job. Ebay? I already told you what you needed to know. I am sick of the completely hippocritical application of rules.

eBay will pay attention when buyers file "not as described" returns, or when verified rights-owners file formal VeRO take-down notices.
Why is this my job.
Who told you that was your job? Take it up with them. Or get yourself a better job.
