Selling, active vs inactive listing is infuriating

I am new to this or haven't sold an item on eBay in a long time.

I created a listing, and then I returned and saw it inactive. I reactivate it, possibly with a revised selling price. Only to see multiple listings showing. One of them has (8) views.

I don't want to be charged for multiple listings if one sells.

Fixed price listings are GTC-Good Til Cancelled. Each one renews after approximately 30 days. Go to the listing with no views and END it.
