Selling a book
I am selling a book for $10.00 using the buy it now option. If I subscribe to the Starter plan for $4.95 per month. I would need to sell a minimum of 3 - 4 books per month to cover the insertion fees, final value fees and shipping costs. If I can sell at least 3 - 4 books per month or more, then it would be worth my while to subscribe. Am I correct?

Mentor3 years agoA starter store doesn’t save you any fees or give you more insertions, unless you use more than 250 per month - then you save $.05 on each above 250.
So it is a question of what is it worth to you to be able to use the sales tools. Use of the sales tools is really the advantage to having a starter store, unless you are planning to grow to be a business selling several thousands of $ per month when a basic store would make sense. Then a starter store is a good way to establish your store name while it is available, and to learn how to set up a store.
To get the $4.95 per month rate, you must commit to a full year and there is an early termination fee if you want to cancel before the year is up. So if you think there is a benefit, you should consider starting with the month to month at $7.95 per month.
