selling
I just sold an item on ebay (i'm new to this). THe buyer wants to give me his address and mail it today. However, it says awaiting payment. He said he already paid and his bank deducted the money. Should I go ahead and mail it or wait until it says payment?

Mentor3 years agoBeware of anyone who wants to communicate off eBay (email, text, etc). This is against the rules and the start of a scam. You would have received a fake email stating they paid. New sellers lose their items like this all the time. Always wait the 4 days and then cancel due to buyer did not pay.

Do NOT ship until you receive the Ebay notification of payment which will include the buyer's shipping address.
After 4 days of non-payment have passed, you can cancel the transaction due to "buyer didn't pay".

When the buyer pays for their purchase, Ebay sends the payments from your sale directly to your bank within 2 business days of the buyer’s order, Mon. thru Fri. and then AFTER the payout is processed by Ebay, it will take about 1-4 days for your bank to process the payment into your bank account.
Since you are a new seller, Ebay may wait until tracking shows the item has been delivered to the buyer before your funds are released to your bank.
