Sellersitem was out of stock after purchase
Seller ask me to cancel order eBay said it was to late seller is so far not responding to cancel request. Item has been paid for. Any ideas

The buyer can not cancel an order, only the seller can cancel an order. The seller wants you to request that he cancel the order. When a seller cancels an order, he must choose from a list of reasons for the cancellation. When the buyer requests the cancellation, the buyer can choose the reason "buyer request" and not incur any consequences to himself. If the seller were to tell the truth – that is, that the item is out of stock – when the seller chooses "out of stock" as the reason for the cancellation, he incurs a Defect onto his account.

OP2 years agoI have asked the seller to cancel the order via messaging I don't see any other way to ask them.
