Sellers- what can be done when a buyer doesn’t pay?
I had a jacket listed for $60. I had others watching it but accepted an offer for $45. That was three days ago and they still haven’t paid. I sent one message a day (3) and haven’t heard back. I saw that I can cancel and relist on day 4 but, 1) that’s a complete waste of my time, 2) I’ll probably still be charged fees on the transaction that didn’t go through and the one that did which equals double fees for half a job, 3) what are their consequences? They’re a massive seller and I’d like eBay to freeze up their account until I’m paid. What can I do? Anyone have any advice?

The new process is that you wait 4 days and on day 5 you Cancel the transaction selecting the reason "Buyer hasn't paid" ... they get an unpaid item strike on their account and if the get 2 in 12 months they will have trouble buying on eBay. It is not a waste of time. It used to be longer than 4 days to complete the Unpaid item cycle.
Any fees are credited back to your account if you cancel per the above recommendation ...
Is this your first Unpaid item?
