Sellers selling item by ordering from Amazon
ordered an item from a seller showing a ship from address in New York. Chose to buy since it would be a quick shipping time. When notified that it was shipped was surprised that the seller did not supply tracking info. Sent a request for tracking information received this:
"Hi, your item has been shipped. Expected 2-3 days you to receive it.
Then I got a notice from UPS that I had a shipment coming from Kansas - from Amazon.

OP3 years agoI found this statement under selling policy requirements:
Having items in an inventory or having an existing agreement with a third party to fulfill the delivery of the item under the terms of the listing
Do sellers have agreements with Amazon to fulfill orders?
terms of the listing state the item would be shipped from New York not Kansas.

·3 years agoSome sellers sell here and on Amazon and they pay Amazon to store and ship there products, which is ok.
Sellers that are dropshipping from Amazon, that is not allowed.
When you receive the package, if it has a gift receipt, they are dropshipping from Amazon and using their prime account, which is not allowed on Ebay or Amazon.
If it say it's located in new York, the seller is probably dropshipping and they don't know which warehouse the item will be shipped out of and you can report the listing for the wrong location.
