Sellers reviews
What do you do to get reviews? Do you ask your customers for them specifically? Does ebay ask them to review? I feel like I am always asked as a buyer to review my purchase. Any help is appreciated.

< Do you ask your customers for them [feedback] specifically? >
Sometimes you might catch that customer in a mood, or on the wrong day, and they leave you a negative with a comment similar to "Here's yer feedback! Happy now?" or a negative with "Will bug you for feedback." I have personally seen both those examples. I thought I had taken screen shots, but right now I can't find where I saved them.

-I leave Feedback for my customers before they ever receive their items, then as a Seller it is done.
-eBay sends a reminder to Buyers to leave Feedback (NOT "Reviews") around a month down the road
-I NEVER mention it
-I don't put little notes in packages asking for it
-I don't post in my descriptions anything about it like I have seen some Sellers do.
-I let Buyer Feedback happen naturally or not.
-On September 3, 2025 eBay launched their Auto-Feedback feature which automatically posts a Positive Feedback for Sellers if a Buyer does not leave FB within 7 - 10 days of delivery confirmation (exact time period is still questionable).
When Auto-FB is left for a Seller the transaction will still show that the Buyer needs to leave FB. Your FB count will go up and on your FB History page there is a check box on the right to see the Auto-FB. Buyers can overwrite the Auto-FB within the normal FB time frame of 60 days but failing that the Seller will retain the Auto-FB and the increased FB count on their ID. Auto-FB is NOT visible to anyone looking at your FB history. I liken this to "No news is good news" and Sellers are rewarded accordingly.
-Buyers leaving FB for Sellers can vary greatly by category in my view. Before Auto-Feedback was launched and over 10 years of Selling Buyer Feedback for what I sell ran consistently between 50%-60%.
-Feedback will tell you what you are doing right, the following three basic themes have been repeated over and over in Buyer Feedback on my account
Fast shipping
Well packaged
As described
You have to remember that the first physical impression a customer has of you is what they receive in the mail, period.
