Sellers misrepresenting items in listings
Hi -
I’m an avid collector of things like German nutcrackers, and a lot of Halloween-themed figures by different artists affiliated with the Bethany Lowe Designs brand. I’m seeing a lot of sellers listing items claiming the item is a B. Lowe piece, or by one of her signed artists, and I know for a fact that it’s a Chinese knock-off. Why are some sellers allowed to get away with misrepresenting the authenticity of their listed items? Why does eBay permit such inaccurate (and possibly deceptive) selling practices?
