Sellers List shipping as Priority Mail then ship with Ground Advantage
Summary: The discussion revolves around the issue of sellers listing shipping as Priority Mail but instead using Ground Advantage for shipping. noscc raises the topic, and it is briefly acknowledged by jacbarcollectibles and inceptions. There are no specific opinions or solutions proposed by the participants in their responses.
More and more sellers I buy from are listing USPS Priority Mail as there standard shipping. But every one lately end up shipping using USPS Ground Advantage. In most cases what I am buying is on the West Coast versus me being on the East Coast. This means a shipping time of 7-10 days versus 2-4 days with Priority Mail. I am mostly buying parts for customer vehicles so delivery time is important to me. Does Ebay have any policy on sellers that list one type of shipping and then use something cheaper and much slower?

You can report the seller here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
You can also leave appropriate feedback or you can open a return for an item that is not as described. To open a return...
If you received an item that doesn't match the description, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

Mentor4 months agoSince sellers are not allowed to change the shipping method without your approval you can report them to eBay. eBay needs to know about this practice so they can discipline the sellers.
