Sellers ebay international shipping insurance

I'm reading that ebay international shipping program insures up to $100. for sellers. Is there a way to increase the insurance amount to cover shipping mishaps for items valued over $100. ?

Just to be clear, eBay International Shipping (EIS) does not provide any insurance to the seller. The carrier that you use to ship to the hub will offer $100 of insurance on most services. You control the shipment to the EIS exporting hub, and are in control of the carrier and service levels. You can add extra insurance when you print your label to the Hub. Be sure to use the advanced label form, not the "basic" form, as the basic form was missing the insurance option as of two weeks ago.

On the other hand, once the item safely arrives at the EIS hub, the remainder of the journey is the obligation of EIS. They'll handle any damage claims or return requests from the buyer.

When you create the listing to ship to the EIS hub, you can increase the amount of insurance. Just scroll DOWN a bit and you should see the option.
