Sellers drop shipping my items
Summary: shipcow is experiencing frustration with sellers on eBay who are copying their product listings and using drop shipping methods against eBay's policy. They've reported these actions to eBay, but the response has been inadequate as the platform relies on AI for support, which can't detect the violations. lady_madonna sought clarity on the situation and shipcow explained that they sell on both Amazon and eBay, and the sellers are using their copyrighted images. disneyshopper suggested contacting eBay through Instagram for a more effective response.
There is a handful of sellers that have copied my listings, stole all of my images and re-selling my products on eBay for 2x the price.
This goes against the eBay terms and conditions:
"listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay" (source).
I have submitted countless copyright claims over the last 2 weeks and it's just nonsense AI responses saying they found nothing wrong with the listings.
"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
Obviously the seller doesn't state that they are drop shipping the product in the listing. How would AI detect that they are violating their drop ship policy?
One of the sellers has over 20k listings, which I assume many (if not all) are drop shipped. Their negative reviews call them out for this many times. eBay does nothing about it.
I have requested a call back from support, but there is absolutely no way to speak to anybody about anything, ever. It says they'll call me within 2 minutes and no call ever comes through. Then I get an email days later saying some random person who doesn't exist tried to call. I have tried this over 20 times over the last 2 weeks with zero success.
How do I get any assistance with this issue? AI can't help and there is no human support?

If you are the rights owner, VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) is a way to officially register who you are and the items you have rights to. Through the program, you can have listings removed for violations.

Are they purchasing the item from you and then selling to to one of their buyers? Wouldn't that just be re-selling the item?
Or are the sellers listing & selling an item you have a copyright on? Have you registered the copyright?

OPAug 16, 2026 at 12:21 AM · EditedYes they basically find random items on ebay and amazon, copy all the images, product description and list it on eBay for about double the price. If they get a sale, they then purchase it from Amazon and enter their buyers address. Amazon then ships the order direct to the customer. This happens a lot with sneakers and nobody can verify if they physically have the product or not.
Reselling would be if they purchased product from me, marked it up and offered on eBay. My specific product I make myself and don't wholesale to anyone. Because of this, I know for a fact they don't have the product to sell.

How can you make a specific product and state it is copyrighted when it can be found on Amazon?
If the sellers are drop shipping from Amazon, you can report the sellers for drop shipping.

OPAug 16, 2026 at 12:39 AMBecause it's MY product on Amazon. I'm the Amazon seller. I've reported them over and over agin. The problem is that eBay only uses AI for support. AI can't look at an eBay listing and tell if the item is being drop shipped.

You also state that you have " submitted countless copyright claims". Is the item you are selling on Amazon & Ebay copyrighted?
It appears that there are many of the same item on Amazon that you sell, by different sellers.

OPAug 16, 2026 at 2:33 PMCorrect, this is not allowed on eBay. Sellers need to physically have the products they are selling or use wholesale suppliers to drop ship items.
I have copyright of the product images used for the product.
Here is eBay's policy on dropshipping:
Dropshipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay. (source)
