Sellers canceled sale
What protection does eBay provide to buyers when sellers cancel the sale (due to wanting to sell it to another party at a higher price? NONE.
If the seller claims the item is “out of stock†you can’t even leave feedback.
After almost 30 years on eBay, I now mistrust them. They have enabled sellers to break any and all contracts with the buyers for any reason. The sellers can just lie. No recourse exists whatsoever.
eBay, you need to hold these dishonest sellers accountable. Who wants to buy an item when anyone can come along and steal from beneath you after you’ve paid for it?

Here is a link to reporting a Seller, it might let you report this particular issue: Report an issue with a seller | eBay
Sellers who use the Out of stock reason when they cancel get a strike on their account and if they get too many of those they can receive restrictions.
