Seller won't answer messages
I have messaged a seller about delivery of an item almost every day for 2 weeks. Seller will not answer any messages. My item it supposed to go to GIA authenticity and I can see where it says there is tracking available but seller won't volunteer any information. What do I do? I purchased item on 7-7-24

"I can see where it says there is tracking available..."
What does that mean? Do you see tracking information there or you just see the place where tracking information should be?
Check the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History. When that date has passed, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. eBay will force the refund.

OP2 years agoHi thanks for the info but this item has to go to a GIA authenticity person. All I can see in the tracking is where I paid and then where the spot on the tracking space used to say authenticity - it now says tracking available, but seller has volunteered no information. My delivery date is supposed to be 7/20 - 7/26. And if I do not receive item by the 26th I will definitely go to ebay for help. I don't understand why new sellers can't follow the rules.

And yes, there is nothing to do until 7/27. Then you can open your case as advised in my previous reply if you don't receive your item.
There are new sellers who follow the rules and new sellers who don't. I know it's frustrating, but you can evaluate a seller before you buy by reviewing the seller's feedback. If he has no feedback, he has no eBay experience, even as a buyer. In that case, I would be very cautious. If you take a chance on a new seller, everything may go perfectly well, but if it doesn't, you have eBay's Money Back Guarantee. You may go through an experience like this before you can get your money back though.

OP2 years agoI think when sellers try to sell something and do not put a reserve on their price, they don't want to accept the auction price that is won. I have been thru this before about not wanting to ship after they have sold something, but never had where a seller would not answer any messages. Thanks for the info
