Seller with Slick return hack
I needed to return some pressure fitting that were sent as the wrong size. I stared a return on the same day delivered to me. The seller closed the case hours after starting the return. Now eBay don't want to let me talk to a human and it's AI is incompetent. Can someone give me eBay's phone number? Please.
IF NOT THEN: eBay doesn't need my Biz anymore. I will eat my loses and tell everyone about it.

OP11 months agoHow come you didn't give it to me? I don't know who you are but I tell you didn't go through what I did. I finally won an argument with your AI and it got me to customer service... I've been a member 24 years. But the customer service guy help me out without a hitch. The representative admitted that I couldn't do anything another way. So I had to get to them. Please say something else to make yourself feel better. Catch flies with your tongue.

I have filed quite a few return requests, successfully. It did not take contacting anyone in customer service.
Why didn't you answer the question about what reason you chose when you filed the Return Request? That answer would be important as to the outcome of your request.
You could contact the funding source you used to pay for the pressure fitting and explain the situation to see if you can dispute the charge. They may want you to return the item to the seller before issuing the credit.

Mentor11 months agoIf the seller closed your Return Request, Ebay customer service cannot override that.
What reason did you choose when you filed the Return Request? Item "didn't fit" is not covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee. On the other hand, if the seller sent the wrong size that was different than what was indicated in the listing, you needed to choose "doesn't match description" when you filed the Return Request.
It was not Ebay's fault if a mistake was made when filing the return request.

OP11 months agoIt was of the wrong size than description. But that doesn't matter as much as eBay cloaking the phone number and putting AI up to answering question it doesn't know. I swear I won't fight that hard over 27 dollars but eBay would wished they has helped the customers more after they are gone

Mentor11 months agoWhen you filed the Return Request, what reason did you choose?
If you chose a reason that is covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee, the seller would not have been able to close the request and you would have been able to continue with the return for a full refund.
Ebay does not "cloak the phone number" because there is no phone number because the agents are all working in different locations. As stated, once the return request has been closed the Ebay agents cannot reopen it.
