seller with no previous sales
a Seller is offering a power table saw on auction. Bid is just over $100 and shipping is only $6 for this heavy item. Most importantly, Seller has 0 previous sales. I suspect I should not bid. Suggestions?

Mentor3 years agoLots of new sellers do not understand how to set shipping, so I would expect him to cancel the sale when he realizes his mistake. Maybe he meant to set it up for local pick up.
Why not send him a message and ask if he knows that is is offering to ship it for $6, when that won't even pay for a crate 🙂

OP3 years agoThanks for giving this issue enough of your time to read & reply. All else being equal, that might help.
But in this specific instance I had asked a question of the Seller about 24 hours ago with no response.
It is not knowable if seller read, or did not read my inquiry about item details.
The bottom line is all on EBay must be wise & alert. This auction has enough problems that I decided to “steer clear†though it is an item I would like at a so-far, reasonable price.
