Seller with Great reviews simply will not respond to my message
I purchase a somewhat expensive Kobalt 80V 4 Amp rechargeable battery from a seller called "BSTCO" in July of 2023. It seemed they had good reviews so felt comfortable with the purchase. Unfortunately after only a few uses over a year it died completely. I knew Kobalt has a great reputation for warranting their batteries so i called them for a replacement and unfortunately they will not warranty it because this seller is not an "authorized reseller". That was a bit challenging to hear after spending a chunk of money on this battery. However I attempted to reach out to this seller to see what they would be willing to do, only to get no reply at all. I have since then reached out 2 more times but still with no reply. I've tried calling ebay on this to report the seller but its impossible to get a live agent any more. If I am completely out of luck with getting any refund or replacement because of the time since purchase I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is the no response and then the misrepresentation on the listing. I rarely leave a review but I feel like the public needs to be warned about a company that falsifies their product listings and then simply doesn't reply. Even a kind reply from them would have just made me move on but now i think I need to make others aware.
Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to get this handled, either by getting a refund or at least by reporting, other than purchasing something else from them only to have the option to leave them a bad review. (That's not really what I want to do).

Mentor1 year agoUnfortunately there is nothing to report nor is there anything that can be done after all this time. eBay's money back guaranty is only good for 30 days from receipt of the item. Your payment source will usually only cover purchases for 180 days from payment and sometimes less.
Sellers are not responsible for any warranty on the item unless they are an authorized dealer for the manufacturer. Since the seller was not a dealer for the manufacturer you found that there is really no warranty on the battery. Most sellers on eBay are not authorized dealers for any manufacturer. This is true for most online selling sites.
