Seller Will not ship item..
Summary: bproulx expressed frustration over a seller's repeated claims of shipping a purchase using the same tracking numbers, despite inconsistencies in their explanations. The delivery window from 31 July to 14 September allows the seller maximum leeway, complicating contact with eBay. mr_lincoln advised on filing a claim through eBay's Money Back Guarantee and suggested reaching out to eBay customer service for further assistance. They discussed how to process claims after the estimated delivery date and emphasized the importance of reporting seller issues for buyer protection.
The delivery window is 31 July to 14 Sept...Seller used the maximum days
Problems with Seller stating they have mailed the purchase an countinued saying the package was to big so the post office sent it back..keeps using the same tracking number.
Original shipment/tracking: apparently 4PX3003060848541CN
Alleged replacement shipment: LZ442366198CN
He repeatedly describes that same replacement as though it explains everything. There is no third tracking number proving another reshipment. Even today, when he says the post office caused him to “re-send” it again, he gives the same LZ442366198CN.
He asserted that the item was already shipped, resent, or beyond interception eight separate times:
Aug. 13 — “We have shipped it.”
Aug. 14 — “I assure you that the goods have been shipped.”
Aug. 16 — “Due to the logistics provider, we re-shipped it.”
Aug. 18 — “The first shipment failed, so we resent your order.”
Aug. 19 — “The first package…was returned because it was too large,” followed by “the goods have been sent out.”
Aug. 22 — “The goods have been sent out and cannot be intercepted.”
Aug. 23 — “The first package was returned because of its oversize, and then a new package was reissued.”
Sept. 3 — “Due to the post office, we have re-sent the package.”
So the accurate summary is:
Documented distinct reshipments: 1 alleged replacement
Times he claimed it had already shipped or been resent: 8
Changing explanations: wrong message → wrong tracking number → logistics-provider problem → failed shipment → oversize return → post-office problem
Evidence of the latest alleged resend: none, because he reused the same tracking number
That pattern is highly inconsistent. If it had genuinely been resent again on September 3, it ordinarily should have produced another shipment record or new tracking number—not the same number he had called the replacement back on August 13.

Wow, that 6 week delivery window is simply not right. You are only protected for 30 days from either a delivered item or the latest estimated delivery date. And when that happens we advise Buyers as follows:
The date you want to keep an eye on is the original estimated delivery date. One day past that is when you can process a claim.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
You can file a claim via the item in your Purchase History that you did not receive your item one day past the original estimated delivery date and up to 30 days after that. Follow the steps in the claim and they will lead to an eventual refund.
You can report a Seller here: Online Customer Service - Report an issue with a seller
If for some reason (like the 6 week delivery window) precludes you from filing a claim through eBay then you will be forced to pursue a Payment dispute with your funding source. To me what you described sounds like an elaborate scam. I hope the item was not expensive.

Mentor1 month agoIf the listing shows Sept 14th as the latest shipping date you cannot open a claim that you did not receive your item before that date. That is just a claim and it is not "contacting" eBay.
