Seller Will Not Respond
Summary: juneb_9036 expressed frustration over a delayed order with an unresponsive seller. fashionsandbeauty4u advised using eBay's Money Back Guarantee and opening a refund request if the item is not received past the estimated delivery date. inceptions suggested not requesting cancellations in the future to ensure consequences for sellers and received gratitude from juneb_9036 for the advice.
I bought an item on 6/8/26 and it was supposed to arrive between 6/11-15. When it didn't arrive I messaged seller with no response. Then ship date changed but I can't remember the dates. I waited and then the ship date changed again to 7/18-23. I tried to cancel the sale but seller denied cancellation. I sent another message to seller this week and still no response. I haven't rec'd any notice that my item is being packaged or anything and the 18th-23rd is coming up pretty quick.
Anything else I can do?
This seller to me isn't worth fooling with.

Mentor3 weeks agoHi @juneb_9036
You've already been advised on what to do at this point, but for the future if this every happens again, don't ask for a cancellation. When you do that, there is no consequences for the seller because you are the one that requested it. On the other hand, when you open an item not received case, there ARE consequences for the seller if he doesn't perform.
Hopefully, you won't encounter a situation like this again, but if you do you'll know what to do.

Ebay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for Buyer Purchase Protection. If you go to the Order Details for this transaction you will see the estimated delivery date. Once it is one day past that date, you can open an Item Not Received refund request on eBay. The Seller is required to respond with either a valid tracking number showing it's in transit or a full refund.
If they do not, on the 4th day go back to your request and ask eBay to step in and force the refund. But you need to open that refund request on eBay to start the refund process.

OP3 weeks agoIt seems though that when the original delivery date approached he would change it. So itβs hard to get to that 4th day. π‘
