Seller will not reimburse after return sent to him
I purchased a Fire Chief gasoline sign dated 1990. The seller said it was vintage. After purchase, I read Fire Chief made no signs dated 1990. These were reproduction signs. Not wanting a reproduction sign I asked the seller if he would take it back. He said yes. I mailed it with tracking. He then said he would not reimburse the shipping. I said he should pay one way at least since the sign was not as advertised. He became very angry and said he would not reimburse me. He kept my money and his sign. I was not home when eBay called me back . I was not home when they called and they cancelled the return case. Now the case is closed, he has his sign and my money. This is not right. He lied in his ad, lied about reimbursing me and has his sign. This is theft. I called eBay back. They said they can do nothing now. What can I do. I paid with my credit card. Didn't use PayPal. I'll see what my card Co can do. But eBay should do something?

You should have filed a return request and waited until the seller sent you a PREPAID shipping label before shipping it back. If the seller didn't oblige within 3 business days ... you would then go back to your open request to ask eBay to step in.
What you can do now ... IF you have the tracking number proving the item was delivered back to the seller ... is phone your credit card company and request a chargeback. You won't get back the money you paid returning it ... but you should get a full refund of your purchase price.
I'm very sorry this happened. Good luck!
