Seller will not issue return label and I can't get in touch with Ebay Customer Service
Hello,
I purchased an item from an Ebay seller that does not match the description. The terms of the sale say that it is returnable/refundable within 60 days of purchase, however, I contacted the seller and they have been combative and will not issue a return label. I have tried to call Ebay but cannot get a real person on the phone and Ebay's automated phone system will only give me the status of the return, which is that a return label has not been issued. I paid for the item with Venmo. How can I get a refund?

You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Damaged or Defective Item", "Missing Parts & Pieces" OR "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.

OP10 months agoHello, and thanks for your comment. I did open a return request saying "item does not match description" however, the seller will not issue a return label. This is eventhough the terms of the seller's sale say "60 day refund" policy.

Is the seller in USA or overseas?
If the seller is un USA, wait until you see the 'Ask eBay to Step In' option in your case.
Ask eBay to step in.
If the seller is in USA and hasn't sent a label, the case will be closed in your favor and a refund will be issued.
If the seller is outside USA, the seller must sent you money to buy a return label since they can't purchase US postage.
