Seller wants me to pay shipping on a "free shipping" item
Bought an item that was listed as "free shipping". If it wasn't free shipping I likely wouldn't have bought it. Now, after the transaction, the seller is messaging me saying that the buyer was meant to pay shipping and eBay changed their listing.
Now they've cancelled the transaction and I can't even leave feedback. They listed the reason as "out of stock or damaged item".
What can I do in this scenario?

The Seller is one to avoid in the future and eBay will not force them to honor your purchase.
The Out of stock reason they used for cancelling will add a strike to their account that they may not be aware of and if they get enough of those they will be restricted or shut down.
This link may or may not let you report this kind of problem with a Seller:
Really sorry it happened.
