seller wants contact off ebay

I am attempting to get my money back for software purchase. seller shipped a copy without license information. I sent email requesting it and they did not respond to three attempts. now on the last day of return process they emailed me to contact their customer service. By using an email that's not through eBay and I can't locate it anyway. I am verry uncomfortable with this seller believe they are attempting a scam. There is no need to communicate with the seller.

Continue with filing a Return Request:

Within 30 days from date of delivery, go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under “More actions” click on “Return item” and select the reason for the return. “doesn't match description“.
IF your request is approved, the seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item.
If they don't do either, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.
