Seller violating ebay's manipulation policy?
Hey everyone,
Found a listing. For a split half second second glance it looked like a great deal for what is being discribed in the title. However, I quickly realized all was not what it seemed and I worry someone may end up falling for what I beleive to be a calculated misrepresentation by the seller. Here’s the scoop:
The title screams rare autographed Mojo Refractor (think $100s+), but it’s a base BCP-179 card signed in person. Seller’s asking $84.99, yet they don’t offer to send it for authentication and won’t issue refunds. A good condition BCP-179 is about $7 unsigned—maybe $10-15 with an unauthenticated in-person sig, since it’s not official and dings condition. Way less than the auto set card they’re hinting at. Oh, and they’ve got hundreds of cards listed like this—same sketchy setup.
Feels like they’re misleading buyers into overpaying for low-value signed base cards on a massive scale. eBay manipulation violation, or am I overreacting? What do you think?

There is a Report feature on every active eBay listing. I would recommend reporting it. Be sure to only report it once.
When reporting it, be careful with choosing the correct reason from the various drop down menus.
