Seller used derogatory political rhetoric and eBay clearly does not support the Republican party
I purchased an item and paid for it right away. Three weeks went by I contacted the seller asking where my purchase was. He responded a few days later telling me I was impatient and that I was a typical Trump supporter. This was out of the blue and there was no improper wording by myself in the request on the status of the shipment. Upon reading the email I requested cancellation of the order and told the seller it was inappropriate and I will not accept the order. I also contacted eBay to open up a case. On day 33 from my payment I received the item. I don’t feel I should have to accept or pay for an item from a seller that uses this type of language. eBay denied my request as well as my appeal. What can I do other than contact my state representative?

< telling me that I was a typical Trump supporter >
That is not an insult in my book. But, how is it that the seller knew or assumed this?
< What can I do >
Disregard the perceived importance of it. Just resolve never to buy from this seller again. Your lack of business is the worst punishment, it hits him in the pocketbook.

OP1 year agoI agree it isn’t a negative thing. The issue was that other negative words were used in his sentences including “people like you who emulate Trump, like liarsâ€. As I said I opened up a case after 3 weeks of not hearing anything. Clearly the eBay customer team email he received upset him. Hence his response. The other issue is that since it was past 30 days from my payment and not having the item in hand eBay will not support their guaranteed refund/buyer protection claims. Even though I received the item on day 33, I want to return this item without even looking at it. The box has not been touched. I don’t want to have to pay the seller anything. That is my main issue and one that I think needs to be raised up. I feel there may be others in the same situation.
