Seller tried to shake me down for more shipping money
We bought my daughter’s prom dress from a seller on March 16 on March 23. I sent an email to the seller asking when we could expect the dress the seller replied about a week later they said that they didn’t even know that the dress had sold, and that they had it posted for sale on other forums but that they would send it soon a few days after that we still didn’t hear anything and I emailed them again several days went by. They finally emailed me back and said that the dress would come in a very large box and that I chose the cheapest shipping route and was that OK I responded with. Yes that’s OK. We need the dress as soon as possible then they replied after that several days after that because of the holidays the shipping companies were closed and I didn’t understand this and they sent me a post about the shipping companies being closed on Good Friday there were weeks that went by I basically think that they were trying to get more money out of me. I’d already paid for everything and agreed to their terms. Then they canceled the sale and refused to reply to me any longer
i’ve been told that I have received a refund but yet the seller said that they didn’t receive the money yet and they weren’t going to send the dress without having the money in their account. It’s not about the money it’s about how the seller wasted our time and now my daughter does not have a dress for her senior prom

Mentor2 years agoHello agibbens574,
First, I would report the Seller.

You can also leave appropriate feedback for them.
If you did not receive a full refund, you could open an Item Not Received case and they would be required to respond with a tracking number. Under no circumstances should they have canceled for any reason other than "out of stock". That reason would cause a serious impact to their account. If they canceled for any other reason, let eBay know that when you report them, because you did not request or agree to the cancellation. Best of luck.
