Seller took my money, then says she cannot find my items to ship to me. No offer for refund!
I ordered two dishes from a seller on 2/17/23 for a total of $105.13. The seller took my payment, then emailed me telling me that "she is sorry, but she cannot locate the items I bought and paid for". She simply said she was sorry, and that she would send them if she found them. Before this, she had emailed me to tell me she had more of these dishes, and wanted to know if I'd like to order MORE of them. No offer for a refund was given and now will not even reply to me about this. Scam? Has she stolen my payment information along with the $105.13? Impossible to talk to a customer service agent, and my issue does not "fit" into the categories I can find help with. Help, please.

OP2 years agoSorry, since the money was taken out of my bank account before I was informed that the seller "couldn't findN" the dishes I ordered, yet was not offered a refund at all I did consider this "taking my money". Her offer was for me to wait until she finds this merchandise again, then allow me to start the bidding process again, when I had already had my bid in for almost a week before finding out that I "won". I don't totally understand this. I just wanted my dishes, and was given no other option - this did not make sense to me. I have been the victim of fraud on Ebay before, and was concerned that it was happening again. I was more concerned about fraud - because of the confusing correspondence - than anything else. Now, as soon as I was issued a notice of refund she suddenly has these same dishes available again on EBay, and is now listing them individually instead of as a group of 4. I think that she didn't get the amount of money she wanted for these dishes and this is the way she handled it, thinking she will make more money by selling them individually. This is not right.

Sellers do not "take" buyers' money. You paid Ebay, then Ebay pays the seller when the transaction is complete.
If you do not receive a refund from the seller, file a Refund Request:
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
If the seller does not respond after 3 days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.
